Baking for a Cause: Florentine Gardens Supports Alzheimer's Research

Our Bake Sale to support Alzheimer’s was a huge success! This week at Florentine Gardens, we hosted a bake sale with all items sold by donation, and we’re thrilled to announce that not only did we meet our goal of $500, but we surpassed it significantly!
The event was a delightful experience for everyone involved. One of our residents, Joe, had an especially great time. As a former salesman, Joe eagerly took charge of the stand, sharing his favorite picks with visitors, particularly the irresistible salted caramel stuffed cupcakes!
The reason we are so passionate about supporting organizations like the Alzheimer’s Association is that we witness firsthand the impact of Alzheimer’s disease in our nursing home. Our residents and their families face the daily challenges posed by this devastating illness, and it’s crucial for us to contribute to finding a cure and offering support. Every donation and event brings us one step closer to better treatments and, hopefully, a future without Alzheimer’s.
Next month, don’t miss our St. Jude’s lemonade stand! Every Friday in July from 1-4pm, we’ll be at the front door selling lemonade by donation, with all proceeds going to St. Jude’s. Our residents are eager to run the stand and are looking forward to supporting another fantastic cause. We can’t wait to see you there!
