Spring Fling: March Highlights at Florentine Gardens

March was packed full of fun and staff appreciation at Florentine Gardens! From an egg-citing Easter Egg Hunt and a joyful St. Patrick's Day celebration to employee appreciation days, there was something special for everyone to enjoy.

We recognized National Social Worker Month by celebrating our amazing social worker, Crystal. We are so happy to have such a dedicated social worker like her on our team. She does everything in her power to keep a smile on our residents’ faces. Crystal even goes above and beyond her normal duties by helping out with activities and our big events.

During National Healthcare HR Week, we celebrated Haley, our HR Director. Haley always has something in her back pocket to keep our staff happy. Every week, she puts together something special for staff including games with prizes, coffee, snacks, and more. Haley does an awesome job showing the appreciation that we have for the staff at Florentine Gardens.

Similarly, during National Licensed Nursing Home Administrator Week, we celebrated Janet, our Administrator, for her hands-on approach and compassionate care for residents and staff alike. With spring in full swing, Janet's green thumb is evident in the beautiful flowers that adorn our building.

We couldn't forget to celebrate the greenest holiday of the year, St. Patrick's Day! Our Activities Department organized a “Luck of the Irish” game, a St. Patty get-together party, and a Shamrock Shake Day for all to enjoy. We ended the month with our Easter Egg Hunt where the Easter Bunny dropped off thousands of eggs in our yard for kids and families to hunt. They had the opportunity to find special prize eggs, enjoy snacks, and take pictures with the Easter Bunny. Our residents had a great time watching the kids hunt for eggs reminiscing about their Easter holidays in years passed. Our residents took part in decorating Easter bonnets, had an exciting Easter coloring contest, played in an egg toss, had their own Easter Egg Hunt, and so more during the month of March.

March truly was a month filled with joy and fun-filled activities at Florentine Gardens! We'll be talking about these new memories for days to come.
